EV Chargers - GOV Grants

Here at GCelec Ltd we are currently supplying, and installing all EV Chargers across the area, including home, schools and workplace charging points. All our engineers are OZEV Authorised installers and have undergone the extensive training and qualification. See below for current GOV funded grants available.

Electric Vehicle Chargers are now fully covered by the NEW government grant scheme, chargers are supplied and installed up to £2500, which prior the government grant only covered up to £350 of the payment. At Gcelec we install, supply and set up the application process with no extra charges. Scheme only guaranteed until 31st March 2025.

EV Chargers for Tenants

There is currently scheme in place for renters and flat owners,

Electric vehicle charge point grant for renters and flat owners, an electric vehicle charge point grant can help towards the cost of installing an electric vehicle charge point socket at your property.  

You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.

You can apply for this grant if you either:

  • own and live in a flat 

  • rent any residential property (this includes properties under the shared ownership scheme)

EV Chargers for the work place

The Workplace Charging Scheme provides support for organisations towards the cost of installing up to 40 electric vehicle charge point sockets at their sites.

The scheme covers up to 75% of the total costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge points capped at a maximum of:

£350 per socket and 40 sockets across all sites per applicant – for instance, if you want to install them at 40 sites, you will have 1 socket available per site, eligible workplaces include, 

businesses, charities ,public sector organisations and small accommodation businesses.
