Testing

Always referred to as “PAT” or “FAT” testing, much maligned but an important aspect of electrical health and safety at work. It includes all that is obviously portable to shop floor plant.

This means your IT equipment, the office kettle, and microwave to a 400v MIG welder, pillar drill or band-saw. The importance of this testing is comprehensively covered in 3 sets of regulations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
